The Pagoda bookcase is inspired by the Asian towers, characterized by essential lines and stacked tops. The base is born from a single block of hand-finished marble, and through a skillful interlocking game, the entire structure is assembled without the use of screws or bolts. The combination of the extra-clear tempered glass of the two uprights and the methacrylate of the shelves gives this bookcase lightness and transparency, giving the impression that the objects and books placed on it are floating.

This work is 100% Made in Italy. Any small imperfections testify ist craftmanship.
Dust with a soft cloth or duvet. Please use only neutral cleaners. DO NOT USE SOLVENTS.

The basic tone is dark green, characterised by numerous lighter or darker shades that make the material unique. This is further enhanced by veins tending to white or yellow, which stand out against the green background and accentuate its ornamental power.

Methacrylate is a thermoplastic polymer that owes its fame to its unique properties: it is crystalline (92% light transmission), 30 times stronger than glass and considerably lighter. Being more transparent than glass, it is comparable in its behaviour to optical fibre, and has the property of being more or less unbreakable. Cast PMMA is 100% recyclable through the distillation process of production waste, through which the basic monomer MMA is obtained and can be polymerised again. Given its characteristics, it is a material of absolute quality designed to be durable over time.

Discover Tempered glass

Tempered glass is glass subjected to a special treatment characterised by strong heating to 700°c and then violent cooling with jets of cold air at low temperature. This process allows the material to take on special characteristics, including being thicker, giving it greater strength, having a smoother surface and taking on shinier reflections, especially in the ‘ultra clear’ colour offered by Toolux. In the event of breakage, tempered glass will pulverise into many tiny fragments, not being dangerous for people nearby, and for this reason it is also commonly called safety glass.
